Since the dawn of civilization one of the most important aspects of our comfort and security has been the possession of a door to put between us and the outside world. With the addition of glass panes in the motif, you can still have moderate security with a more informal look. French doors offer the most ornate looks but do so at the cost of being the least secure from accidents or vandalism.

While they are not the most aesthetically pleasing to the eye, the addition of storm or screen exterior doors over your entry can add a substantial saving to your heating and air conditioning budget.
